My Choice of Restaurants in Bangalore

Don't get me wrong, but I luv my wife's cooking. However, if you would go through the text I am writing down blow, it is definitely going to water your mouth as well.

I am going to classify the restaurants as per the cuisines. So here you go -

Punjabi Cuisine - How can this not be the number one cuisine in the world. Each dish in this cuisine is absolutely delicious. There are 1000s of punjabi restaurants in Bangalore but I would just name a few really good ones here.

1. Takes the cake - Angeethi (on Museum road)
Dhabha style ambience but not the prices. Any vegeterian dish here does not cost less that 100 bucks. However, it would be worth it. The preparation is absolutely fantastic. Service is good & courteous.
Special mention - Lachcha Parantha & the magai pan from the in-restaurant pan thella (point).

2. Golconda Chimney (on airport road towards ITPL)
Though a bit far from the city center, the trip would be worth it. The dishes (veg & non veg) are made with lavish supplies of oil & ghee however, you would prefer putting extra kilo rather than pass this delicious treat. A bit dimly lit in the night but with such tasty food, I would not mind eating it in complete darkness.
Special mention - Try the chicken preparations here.

3. Gramin (Kormanagala Raheja Arcade)
Recipies here are winner of Times Food awards. Absolutely mouth watering punjabi dishes including the daals. Pain point here is the small & congested framework of the restaurant & the delay in getting a place in it. Long queues. To avoid the rush & the rude manager's behaviour, suggest to call & book a table in advance.
Special mention - Jaljeera, Gramin Special (one with a candle in between)

I can go on & on about number of punjabi restaurants, but due to the time & space crunch, I better just mention the names of some more good restaurants.
- Aangan (Kormangala 8th block & some where close to Commercial as well) - Too good mukke ki roti & Sarson da Saag
- Kuund (CMH Road) - Peculiar (some concept of main course, etc) but delicous arrangement of meals here.
